Gavin Brown Novice 2026

Congratulations to all 10 divers competing last Saturday at the Gavin Brown Novice hosted by Southampton Diving Academy.

For most of the team, this was their first competition at this level and for some, their first time away from our home pool. Some nerves were present, but we had a particularly good show of dives on the 1m across the team with Flynn, Matthew, and Albert in the Open C event dominating the medals podium to take 1st, 4th and 5th places respectively.

In a large Girls Group D event, Livi and Pippa led our field, coming 8th and 9th with only 0.45 points between them. In the closing older Open event, Ash just pipped Lokesh to take the podium bronze medal.

We thank the organisers for a well-run and enjoyable event and look forward to seeing some of these young divers again as the Skills National Qualifiers start up next month.
