Southeast Region Training and Development Afternoon April 2026

This past April divers from across the region were invited to dive at Tunbridge Wells pool alongside their peers in a second session supported by Swim England Southeast Diving. Reading had already played host to a successful afternoon in November for our younger Group D, E and F divers and now this same opportunity was offered to those in Group C and older. A circuit based training session started the afternoon led by coaches from Albatross and Tunbridge Wells clubs. During this session divers were split into groups with an opportunity to make new friends from each club and experience new challenges. They then selected 3 dives to showcase in a scored event with certificates presented to all participants.

At the end of the afternoon there was a second chance to dive with their own club coaches and practice something new or something they wished to perfect. These events are offered in support of an ongoing engagement and retention objective driven by the regional team that is looking at how best to encourage lesson divers in their love of our sport. The smiles on the faces of all participants was enough to show the events success.
