Dubai International Aquatics Championships
A warm thank you to Dubai from the Albatross team as we look back on a glorious week competing at the Dubai International Aquatics Championships 2025 alongside having a fantastic time visiting this wonderful country and making long term memories.
The competition has seen medals, personal best performances, including a joint gold for Hannah and Naya who remarkably both scored a total of 250.15 across their 8 dive Age Group 3m list and a wealth of experience. The list of podium positions speaks for itself and whilst no medals for our 2 senior men, Hernan and Joe, they got to compete alongside the Russian National Team with some incredible diving on display in their events. With the Albatross flag flying there were cheers of support throughout the week from all the team as they saw their focused training paying off.

Enjoying Dubai
Alongside plenty of diving, either training or competing, the team have gone on a world excursion to Dubai’s Global Village to embrace the sights, sounds and tastes of this extraordinary experience, taken a desert safari with camel rides, henna painting, fire dancing and an authentic meal, visited the Dubai Mall Aquarium and Zoo, fountains and, of course, seen the magnificent Burj Khalifa and spent a wonderful last afternoon enjoying the beach in the sunshine.
This trip was one that we feel proud to have been able to offer to our divers as a totally different experience in a new country and culture and one that we hope they will remember for many years to come. We thank DuDive Hamdan Sports Complex for their organisation and our invitation to their well run and enjoyable competition…. Not least for the beautiful medals being proudly taken home by our divers.
