London Skills Qualifier 2026

Huge congratulations to all the Albatross team who competed at the London Aquatic Centre on Saturday, at this, the first skills qualifier of our season.

We took away lots of positives, and it was wonderful to see the club so well represented and all the divers enjoying the events and soaking up the atmosphere.  We also had a gold medalist in Edward, a silver in Oliver, and bronzes in Misha, Matthew, and Ruby in their respective events.

Particular shoutouts go to those competing at their first regional qualifiers who displayed both composure and confidence, those who achieved their qualifying scores for this year’s National Skills Finals in July, and those who persevered into the late hours with zeal and smiles 👏. We now have 6 divers qualified: Misha, Molly, Hamish, Ruby, Edward, and Oliver, but all 17 divers will have gained valuable experience to take with them on each stage of their competitive journey this year. We applaud them all.

We return now to home training in Reading to build on skills and rise to the challenge of improving individual scores at our next event in Sandwell in April, where the Skills divers join their Age Group teammates for the 3-day Sandwell Showdown.
