Surrey Skills 2026

Congratulations to our team of 22 divers who competed this past weekend at the annual Surrey Skills event at Guildford’s Spectrum pool. With a hat trick of gold, silver, and bronze from Oliver, Makar and Hamish in Open C and a silver from Pippa in Girls C, we matched PB-strong performances with happy divers and coaches throughout the team, many of whom were diving for the first time outside our home pool.

In what was a well-organised and well-attended event, all had an enjoyable experience with nerves and focus handled brilliantly.

Our thanks go to all family members for supporting the divers (and surviving the very hot pool!) and to Star Diving Club for hosting.

A huge well done from all our coaches, Hernán, Lauren, Hannah and Anjali, who reported it was a pleasure to coach them all.

Our team will be seen this coming weekend again at the Gavin Brown Novice event in Southampton on Saturday, where we have 10 Pre-skills divers aged 10-15 taking to the boards, some, again, for the first time outside of Reading. Good luck to them all.
