Readings Diving Club Nurturing National Champions

Albatross Diving Club is a springboard and high diving club based in Reading. We are proud of our local 40 year history and the success of our divers at Junior International, National, Regional and Local competitions.

About Albatross Diving

As a Swim England Diving Development Centre we work hard to spot local diving talent and are especially proud that Albatross nurtured the early talent of Chris Mears, current GB Senior Dive Team Member and 2016 Olympic Gold Medallist.

We run START Diving sessions alongside our competitive squad programme so if you think you would like to give diving a try please do get in touch. Everyone is welcome! Fees start from £30 pcm for half hour learn to dive sessions that run throughout the year.

We offer community learn to dive sessions Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Abbey School.

Competitive squads enjoy additional training sessions which incorporate dry training at our Rivermead facility and highboard training in Southampton. We compete at Regional and National Level from Skills through to GB Junior Elite. Divers meeting competition conditions will also be offered the opportunity to compete in international events.

We are part of the Southeast Regional Network of clubs who support diver and coach development from grass roots diving to talent selection and training.

Unfortunately we do not have adult diving at this time but this should be available from May 2023.
